Never one for a dream deferred, the birth of Araxi Botanicals has been a continuous journey of both self and community healing through the powers of grace, love, and the freedom to feel good in your own skin.

Araxi Botanicals is made with the ideology of being “exclusively inclusive” — the belief that our products are crafted with the utmost care for the benefit of people from all communities, backgrounds, and lifestyles — not just a lucky few.

Araxi Lindsey

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Araxi Lindsey is known for her storytelling hairstyles. At the age of 19 she became a Professional Cosmetologist, and it didn't take long for the industry to recognize Araxi's gift. Her talents garnered the attention of Jada Pinkett Smith, giving her the opportunity to create Niobe’s iconic look for The Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions.

Araxi continued to work on some of Hollywood's biggest films such as Collateral, The Women, and After Earth. She eventually committed her hands-on, artistic view as Department Head of Hair for ABC’s Blackish where she began to shift TV culture with trendsetting, playful hairstyles for 6 seasons. Araxi earned herself an Emmy in this role. 

Continuing to elevate in the Motion Picture Industry Araxi has allowed hair to tell a story by showcasing Afro textured styles in the highly acclaimed film, The Harder They Fall. Next, she headed off to Canada creating the new hair looks for, The Umbrella Academy, Season 3. Finally, returning to Los Angeles sharing her skills and wisdom for highly anticipated Bel Air, season 1 on peacock. Araxi continues to inspire others by consistently displaying honest, healthy hair.

Araxi has worked with a variety of celebrities including Regina King, Tracee Ellis Ross, Chloe Bailey, Jill Scott, Zazie Beetz, Ruth Negga, Ariana De Bose, Danielle Deadwyler, Cassandra Freeman, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Kat Graham, Jermaine Fowler and Marsai Martin, Daveed Diggs, and Mary J. Blige.
